The Literature on Ketamine and Suicide
A systematic review came out last year, 2021. And they found 36 studies with 2900 people looking at ketamine for depression. The Canadian guideline came out in November, 2021. It has a level one recommendation to treat treatment resistant depression with ketamine. There are some issues, you know, small studies, wide confidence intervals. But what we do see is that in all three of these studies, patients who are given ketamine improved rapidly from their baseline.
