The Disadvantages of a Walking Mall
In the city of Santa Barbara, they opened up an eight block pedestrian mall as a result of the pandemic. On one side, you have restaurant owners who really do like it. On the other side, are their neighbors the business owners who are firmly entrenched around the idea that you should have parking in front of your store. So it's fascinating because I think we tend to have business owners be one block, but there are actually two different groups here at odds.
