Ympathy is sometimes useful, but it can also be used to manipulate people. Advertisers have a great ability to understand where you're coming from - often better than you do. There are four types of ympathy i talk about in the book and i will talk briefly about each. Ympathy just means being able to put yourself in the other person's position.
