Ympathy Is Not Just a Nice Thing

Ympathy is sometimes useful, but it can also be used to manipulate people. Advertisers have a great ability to understand where you're coming from - often better than you do. There are four types of ympathy i talk about in the book and i will talk briefly about each. Ympathy just means being able to put yourself in the other person's position. The first on is sympathy of understanding. That's understanding where they are coming from. This is the one i'm best at as a coach. It’s very helpful as a coach; I can use it to help people.
