The Importance of Altitude in Mountain Rescue
Skokorski aircraft is an aviation company based in Connecticut. They had a prototype helicopter that was ready to be tested. So they shipped it to Bolivia on an air force plane with two mechanics who were supposed to put it back together when it got there. When they arrived in La Paz at 13,000 feet, they were just leveled by the altitude. And they were so sick for two or three days that they couldn't do anything but lie in bed.
