The Dangers of Validating Extremist Beliefs
John Avlon: This is unfortunately another example of the fact that this, there is a segment of our country who espouse particularly extremist beliefs. He says it highlights how incredibly dangerous it is for people in political leadership positions to validate and encourage these extremist beliefs. The inquiry into whether or not he engaged in criminality here is that he take a substantial enough step to engage in any crime? And so I think we have to wait and see as to what specific charges are.
