The Importance of Balance in Work
I would say the biggest, probably parallel, is around fitness and nutrition. I was always in decent shape and I did a lot of sports growing up. But two kids working 60-hour weeks for eight and a half years takes its toll on you. And so I really wanted to give back into fitness and Nutrition. It's been a very methodical process with a lot of goal setting,. A lot of tinkering, with an OKR-like approach. You don't say, am I going to brush my teeth today? And maybe I'm too busy. No, it's a no brainer. The week is such a good cadence to balance your work.
