i'm genuinely fascinated by the conservative movement and especially conservative history. My interest in the right is as an ex conservative, a recovered, a recovering conservative. i think that sometimes when we're gon to be talking about conservatism, we're going to be gleaning insights about the laugh. And so it's very interesting to me too, to understand the conserva from the inside. We were goingto have shownotes. A couple years ago, i wrote an essay for descent magazine called leaving conservatism behind. I grew up in a small town, in a kind of a very working class family, a town that was mostly working class.
