Ethically Significant Actions Are Not Arbitrary
Liebitz experiments do not put any significant good in the breach regarding the subject's actions. An ethically significant action is justified by a commitment to a certain set of goods that together constitute the good life. What we want for our children spouses colleagues, friends, and ourselves is that we be motivated by certain goods that constitute our shared form of the goodLife.
