A 2020 paper by sheng and colleagues it appeared in diabetes care. This does look at glucose variability but when you actually look at this it was a trial using data from the accord trial so again this is in people with type 2 diabetes. With even the treatment arm of that trial you see a high amount of hypoglycemia reported in the treatment arm. You also see an increased mortality within that treatment arm which could have been related toHypoglycemia, something that is also associated with long-term glucose variability.
