The Importance of Colour TV

David Attenborough was a BBC executive in the 1960s. He decided to debut colour television with Wimbledon tennis tournament of 1967. Colour televisions had just started becoming available in Britain, but BBC hadn't broadcast anything in colour yet. A tennis match has the visual economy where there's so little information on screen. This is a perfect way to introduce people to colour TV and stereo sound.
