The Fezziwigs are my favourite Dickens family, I think. They embody merriment, truly. Mr Fezziwig was Scrooge's boss when he was a young man. So there must have been a Christmas-style show. In came the six young followers whose hearts they broke. And what you get a sense of there is that not everyone would be welcome all year round. But for this one day they kind of reserve all judgement and just throw the doors open.
