The book is divided into six chapters. The first two are on unusury and the consumer revolution, followed by debates over luxury. It was at that point that i started to see a potential arc that would lead me to the fetish character of commodities - which then led me to marks. But even suggesting that we can understand something about marks by putting him in the frame of economic theology was meant as something of a metonym for how the kinds of themes might be considered on a broader scale.
