The Role of the Royal Family in the Interwar Period

A lot of what you're explaining here sounds like a very modern British royal family. And it's fascinating to learn that so much of it emerges out of that cauldron of the First World War. So is it the case that the queen learnt a lot of these lessons and applied them to her reign? Is it a reason why she's been able to maintain her role and secure the royal family for now 70 years? Well, I'd say about one of the ways the royal family secures itself by the end of WWI is by becoming the conduit for commemoration.
