Newt Gingrich: I'm very interested in networks, so I've been talking and thinking about social capital measures. How do you measure that? So this study, social capital, the mobility in the United States was the objective. He says a lot of parallels between who your real friends and family are and who the people you're connecting with on a regular social basis are. The nice thing about Facebook is it really captures the set of community and acquaintances that people are generally in touch with in person.
