Mounds are incredible because they form images. These are huge earthworks, images that you often couldn't see from the ground. So while some people think that the whole idea was to get the gods or the ancestors to witness what umets wer to down here, so these are really monumental. Like the bird mound, effigy at coke itself, and at some point it all ends and is replaced by something else.
