The Problem With General Relativity
As something is approaching the event horizon, eventually it just fades to black at the same time as it's fading out of the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we can see. So eventually, it's just a question of, can you see the thing or not? Is there any detector in the universe that's sensitive enough to notice the presence of that object or not? And at that point, well, I guess we're going to be limited by wavelength, because if you're a photon, your wavelength gets stretched.
