During the day, we're consuming calories to drive our metabolism and muscles. But when we're asleep, we have to survive on the mobilization of stored fat. Studies show that glucose is metabolized far faster during the first half of the day compared to the second half of the night. So ideally we we concentrate our calory intake during the firsthalf of the day - towards bedtime in order to burn those calories more efficiently.
