Deep Fakes and Existing Misinformation

Deep fakes have not been seen to do as much damage as some sometimes has been predicted, at least in kind of hysterical medea reporting. This is because existing forms of mis and disinformation when it comes to politics are already devastatingly effective. So there's no need to make a deep fake right now. The more people understand that anything can be faked, including video, which we've tended to see as an extension of our own perception. It's only a very well resourced actor, like a hollywood studio which has two million dollar budgets and teams of special effects artists that can do that kind of video manipulation. And so i'm just kind of unsure how much impact on the margin
