What's Your Thing?

I think every middle schooler has a thing. And so you just got to figure out what their thing is. If you can tap into what that one thing is, they'll talk to you forever. With middle schoolers, I think if you can figure out what those couple of things are, that's a big deal. So even if you don't know anything about it, your interest in their thing is everything. That was your girl, Roland. She told me this story a little while ago, where she met a middle school girl and tried to ask her all the small talk questions you could possibly ask from them. Who knew that was possible?
