Colonel Hackworth was hated in the entire Navy because he had done some reporting on the chief of naval operations at the time. Admiral Bordeaux, who was a beloved guy to come up through the ranks, become the chief naval operations. And Colonel Hackworth had done a report on him that he was wearing some unauthorized and unearned awards on his uniform. He wasn't popular in the Navy at all.
