Introduction
It's officially summer in the United States, which has unfortunately come to mean it's time for heat waves and forest fires. Death toll is rising from that historic heat wave broiling the west and it's fueling a wave of dangerous wildfires. Nearly one half of the country from the Pacific coast to the great plains in the upper Midwest is experiencing moderate to exceptional drought conditions. There simply isn't enough water to go around. It's shaping up to be the worst water crisis in generations. We're fortunate to have an administration again that believes in climate change and believes it's the role of government to do something about it.
