The Fear of Expansive Growth
The fear, of course, is that this thing, once it gets going and starts augmenting itself, we can't stop it. Once it gets out of hand, it unravels pretty fast. But I actually don't think it would be in the system's rational interest to just wipe out humans or even to enslave us.
