What's Going on in the US?
America's institutions have taken such a colossal battering that who knows how the country is going to come back from it. The other really disturbing development is the level of jerrymandering and election fixing that seems to also be going on. It'ld be very interesting to see how the american public react to that. It's got, i think, serious implications for a country like australia,. as we'll talk a little later about aucus and submarines and our reliance on united states. We're becoming more and more dependent on them for cutting edge technology to give us a chance of coming out at least equal in a war.
