The Walker House
The walker house had become a place of sanctuary for people in need. Women escaping the unkind hands of a poorly matched husband or children who found cruelty rather than compassion at home, often filled its halls. It was a way station for other grannies and practitioners passing through or leaving the area when safe lodgings were not available elsewhere. So when sarah avery, daughter of the late carol anne and pinkie, niece to the late eddie avery, needed help, she thanked her stars the walker house was a short ride in melvin's old truck away.
