The Importance of Building and Maintaining Relationships
Rheumatologists often collaborate with and serve some of the unique communities in New Zealand including the Maori and the Pacifica health groups. Can you tell us how those relationships began and how have you been able to nurture and sustain them over so many years? The key key thing is relationships and personally traveling up there many many times and getting to know the folks in the Halora and in the community and that is critical for maintaining those relationships. It's also secondary factor is the health provider having a infrastructure that can interact with the University of Otago infrastructure that we had in in terms of researchso that is important but relationships are the critical thing.
