Taking Control: The ADHD Podcast

CHAPTER

What Is the Difference Between an Eating Disorder and Disordered Eating?

Anorexia nervosa is characterized by severe caloric restriction often coupled with a lot of negative body image. ADHD brain responds to sugar in a much more enhanced way than people do healthily but their view of themselves is oh I shouldn't have eaten that which puts them at risk for an eating disorder.
