In April of 1983, Lavelle decided to go public with her claims that Wiley had been eating. She claimed that she spotted Wiley leaving a 7-Eleven in Santa Cruz with some snacks and a box of Twinkies. After one of his lectures there, Wiley ordered room service. The next morning, room service trays sat outside his hotel room. He's out in public charging $500 for a seminar to come see the man who hasn't eaten 19 years.
