There's little doubt in my mind that there is a kind of equipoise implicit in stoicism and buddhism and mindfulness. But i do wonder, when you look up, i've always thought of the word stoic as having a little bit of a pajoritove connotation. And isn't it our job to smell, taste, relish our senses? There's basically been no phrase done more of an injustice in the enlish language than the phrase stoic philosophy. It's about not being whipsawed by the ups and downs of life. We're all trying to nobody's like glad that they lost their temper.
