Platform Engineering

I still see DevOps as developers and operators working together in a team trying to move an application or a group of applications from idea to production. But now we are talking about codifying that experience, right, into platforms. On top of that, what I'm going to say will sound ridiculous, but I feel that companies are finally figuring out that they need to treat those people in those other teams like customers.
