Is a Boundary Appropriate?

I think maybe boundaries within ourselves don't have to be appropriate. I would define them as perhaps like limits and expectations within relationships that help keep relationships safe and secure. And so when we think about is a boundary appropriate, what context are we thinking in? Are we thinking about will other people accept this boundary or is this a need for myself? If it's a need, then needs are valid. Who meets that need might differ, but that need is valid.
