Cannibalism and the Wendigot

Cannibalism was once a widespread problem within the allegonquin tribes. Children were taught that eating human flesh would invoke the spirit of the wendigo. Anyone who practised cannibalism, even out of extreme necessity, ran the risk of mutating into one of these terrifying creatures. Other negative values associated with wendigo tails are all kinds of excesses, such as gluttony. In many legends, its rightit size just keeps increase in proportion to what it eats. The other way s you can be turned into a wendigo is by having your mind taken over by windigo mind control.
