The Fisherman and the Stranger in White
Jack saw a shape materialized within the falling snow and moved toward him. The shape was a man driving a homotook, a low-slung dog sled of traditional Inuit design. Jack's dogs instinctively followed that pale shadow for miles until they spotted an old fisherman's cabin with smoke streaming from the chimneys. After Jack unharnessed his team and put them up for the night, he gratefully joined the two men inside their cabin and warmed himself by the fire.
