Even the most like paranoid cryptographer privacy people have just been like, fuck it. We want to make this a more automatic process so that you don't actually have to be up to person. How can we do this in a way that doesn't require a new person? Yeah. And now I think there are definitely going to be, I don't think it's possible to build a system that will completely replace QR code scanning.
