The NBA reported that Michael Jordan bought the team at a $275 million valuation. But in fact, he only put down $25 million on this deal in cash. That's drastically lower than anyone would ever have to pay down on a deal like this. He committed a bunch of other money to it and was going to lose money on the deal regardless.
