The Importance of Doubt and Ambiguity

I think we should talk a little bit about this because I think a lot of this really contributes to the trend of deconversion or the trend of rethinking aspects of one's faith. So when you have one belief that seems to be connected to a system, and once you start, once you start chipping away at one thing, it does seem to threaten the whole. And so if having the whole package is very important to our people, all of a sudden we start thinking differently about some of those aspects. Then you're really caught because your larger culture is rejecting you in a sense. Your own people are not quite convinced that you actually belong with them anymore.
