Introduction

Max Weber's The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism is considered one of the founding figures of modern sociology. He thinks that the Protestant Reformation encouraged a certain kind of mindset and attitude that made its followers willing and able laborers for the capitalist regime.
