Should We Wash Our Eggs Before Cooking?

i find that often eggs that i buy have the remnants of chicken feces on them, and maybe even bits of feathers. I want to know whether we should actually wash or rinse our eggs before cooking or cracking them open in order to lower the risk of disease. Annand: You've landed on a raging international debate. In canada, as well as the us, and japan and a small number of other countries, they do wash their eggs if they're going to be commercially sold.
