What Kind of Servitude Are Different From Chattel Slavery?

The church always has drawn a distinction between different kinds of servitude and different kinds of things that have gone under this label slavery. What we usually think of these days when we hear the word slavery is what's called chattel slavery which involves treating another human being as if he were just an animal. But there are other practices, other kind of servitude which sometimes have been called quote slavery, unquote, but which are different from chattal slavery.
