The End of Suffering
Loss of form opens up the possibility of recognizing or awakening to the formless transcendent dimension in yourself. The Buddha says, Dukkha, everything is suffering no matter where you go and what you do - it's hiding behind every experience suffering. As long as you only know yourself as a person which the Buddha calls the self your identity is derived from the underlying presence or consciousness. And this lack is a life of suffering when you don't know yourself as the underlying consciousness, awareness, the formless.
