Decadence is a moral and spiritual disease resulting from too long a period of wealth and power, producing cynicism. The citizens of such a nation will no longer make an effort to save themselves, because they are not convinced that anything in life is worth saving. Frivolity in the form of sportsball and other entertainment grows greatly. Most of all, women, formerly entirely absent from public and political life, become openly influential in both spheres. It's very clear that feminism, supposed liberation of women, is the direct opposite of the health of the state.
