The Fear of Critiquing Ideas

Most academics don't have the capacity to stand up and say, wait a minute, this is utter bullshit. And so those bad ideas then end up spreading without any built in resistance against them. So I think you want the attention of your colleagues in certain ways to, you know, they want the attention on you and your ideas. But you don't want to say things that brings attention to people you want to, you want to hide from or avoid from. It's real, look, it is, it is terrifying.
