Is the LAC a Fixable Line?
The Indian government should be thinking about publishing clear maps, giving its positions and claim lines. The biggest problem over here is that unlike the LOC, the LAC just is not is not a fixed line as far as an understanding on where it is. But I'll tell you one thing. Under the 1993 border peace and tranquility agreement, and under subsequent agreements, 1996 and 2005 agreements, the Chinese agreed with us that wherever there are points of differences on the LAC, they should be clarified.
