What's the Difference Between Noise and Volatility?
volatility and noise do tend to be correlated. But there are times when they're not correlated at all. So for example, if there's an incredibly strong momentum move in the market, obviously the volatility will be high. If that move is very clean in its nature, and you don't have that ctuation in the price, so the price is just heading in one direction, it's a low noise market. That's the difference.
