When it was a celebrity versus immediate outlet, you could conceivably believe that this is a sort of David and Goliath story. And so when Hogan triumphs, it seems like, okay, look, this is the little guy beating the big guy or there's some poetic justice here. But two months later, when Teal is revealed, the optics suddenly shift. The idea that a billionaire was able to bring this about in secret no less and over potentially it's sort of a personal grudge does alarm,. if not the average person, it certainly alarms people who write for media outlets for a living.
