The antidote to our fears is the fear of god. The proper fear of god also conquers our fears of false gods that we often take too seriously, as if they had the last word over our lives. God's revelation of himself according to the law drives us to christ. And then once we're safely in christ, now we have a different kind of fear, of the kind of fear that says, you're greater than somebody i should run away from.

All our fears can be encapsulated in three words: security, life, and justification. But the Bible repeatedly tells us, “Fear not!” So how do we live without fear? In this episode, the WHI hosts consider how fear can shift from terror to trust, from law and gospel. They examine the biblical promises that undergird the commands to fear not, celebrating the comfort found in facing our fears united to Christ.
