The Repercussions of Germany's Reunification

He was shot in the back at Checkpoint Charlie and laid there on the ground, crying out for help for hours. There's still a memorial to him on that wall where he died. I think Germany would probably be a lot further along today had it not been divided between Soviet and Allied rule.
