The Importance of Elite Politics in the Primary

Ron DeSantis may not have a lane in the primary if Trump is going to hold on to all of the lower educated, more rural voters who are his base. The irony that I'm sure is not lost on the DeSantis campaign is that his coalition might be a better bet in the general. If DeSantis could peel off enough of those in a general election, he might be more likely to beat Joe Biden or whoever else it is.
