The Fall of the Social Relations Department at Harvard
There weren't a lot of people who were invested in the department itself. The newer faculty members at Harvard, they had no interest. So you had all this academic politics and administrative problems on top of an academic venture that lacked any unifying theory. And finally in 72, it fell apart.
