Rush Dooney's ideas were powerful in a small group of conservative Presbyterian denominations. He essentially said that society needed to be reconstructed and so his philosophy is called Christian Reconstructionism. The ultimate goal was for the good Christians who were properly trained to observe these proper hierarchies to ultimately then go out and influence the rest of culture, he says.
A group of evangelical Christians raised their children to become influential in the White House, on Capitol Hill, and in the Supreme Court. Now, as adults, the "Joshua generation" are reckoning with their upbringing.
