The Fall of the Elite

A lot of cultures have a story of a flood and it's possible that there are rounds of civilization where nature itself God wipes the slate clean and tries again. I don't know I think it might be an internal story but based on the actions of the current elite I could see them motivated by that kind of thing. It almost sounds of like a Gnostic view of the world that we live in an evil fallen world created by the DemiurgeWhere we're trapped in these like evil bodies or something.
